Wall Murals for Healthcare & Hospitals

Nobody chooses to be in a clinic waiting room, and the room knows it. A wall of soft landscape, water or woodland gives anxious patients something neutral to rest their eyes on, and there is decent evidence that nature imagery genuinely lowers stress in medical settings. In healthcare, a mural is less decoration than it is part of how the space treats people.

Where it works

  • Waiting rooms and reception, where a calm scene softens the longest part of any visit
  • Pediatric wards and children's clinics, with friendly illustrated walls that give young patients something to talk about besides the appointment
  • Corridors, where murals double as wayfinding: a different landmark or colour per floor, wing or department
  • Treatment, imaging and recovery rooms, where patients stare at one wall for a long time
  • Long-term care and memory care, where familiar streetscapes and garden scenes can feel grounding

Choosing yours

Start with the patient, not the palette. Oncology and dialysis patients may look at the same wall for hours a week, so choose imagery with depth and detail that holds up to long viewing, and avoid anything that reads as clinical, dark or enclosed. Wayfinding art needs the opposite qualities: big landmarks, clear colour differences between zones, and no reliance on text for people who may not read the local language. Involve your infection control and facilities staff early; they will have opinions, and they are usually right.

Made to fit your wall

For healthcare we print on commercial-grade materials with smooth, non-porous surfaces that tolerate hospital cleaning routines and frequent disinfection without fading or lifting. Murals are produced in Mississauga in 24-inch panels, fitted precisely around handrails, outlets and bulkheads. Installation in the GTA is scheduled with your facilities team, off-peak or phased by department, so patient areas keep running.

Send us the first wall through the quote page: upload the artwork or a room photo, enter the size, and check the panel layout before we print.
